Journal of Terminology and Knowledge Engineering (JTKE)《术语学与知识工程学报》（英文）正式创刊于 2026年，是由中国科学院主管，全国科学技术名词审定委员会主办，《中国科技术语》杂志社和科学出版社出版，经过同行评审的开放获取期刊。本刊致力于推动术语学理论、实践与应用的发展，以及术语学与知识工程的融合。旨在为学者、从业者、标准化工作者及行业专家搭建顶尖交流平台，助力高质量研究成果和数据的国家传播，填补术语学、知识工程与相关人工智能技术应用之间的空白。

Journal of Terminology and Knowledge Engineering (JTKE) publishes articles on all traditional areas of terminography and knowledge engineering. The following topics are covered, but not limited to:

Terminology theory and methodology: Theoretical frameworks, technical approaches, and methodological advances in terminography, etc.

Terminology standardization and management: processes, policies, and challenges in national and international terminology standardization, including the work of authoritative bodies.

Knowledge representation and engineering, e.g., ontologies, knowledge graphs, semantic web technologies.

Terminology in specialized domains, e.g., medical, engineering, information technology, environmental science, humanities.

Computational Terminology, e.g., automatic term identification, extraction, term alignment, terminology mining from big data.

Terminology management systems and tools, e.g., development, evaluation, and practical applications.

Cross-lingual and cross-cultural issues in terminology and knowledge transfer, e.g., translation and localization of terminology, as well as the construction of multilingual parallel terminology resources.

Terminology in knowledge engineering: the role of terminology in building ontologies, knowledge graphs, semantic web technologies, and AI systems.

Domain-specific terminology studies: research on terminology development and use in specialized fields such as medicine, law, engineering, climate science, and emerging technologies.

Definition and modification suggestions of a term in a professional field, as well as tracing the origin and historical evolution of a term.

Pedagogical approaches for teaching terminology science and practice.

Ethical issues in terminology research.

Article Types

JTKE welcomes submissions of the following types:

Research Articles: Detailed reports of original, significant research, typically 6,000-8,000 words of the main body of paper and no more than three pages of references.

Reviews: Comprehensive surveys and critical analyses of existing literature and trends in specific areas of the field, typically 8,000-10,000 words and no more than three pages of references.

Letters: Brief reports of preliminary findings or innovative concepts, no more than 5,00 words with three references at most.

Technical notes:  typically 4,000-6,000 words and no more than two pages of references.

Submission Guidelines

All manuscripts must be written in English, with concise, clear, and grammatically correct expression. The submissions must be original work that has not been published previously, nor is under consideration for publication elsewhere.
