Introduction

Types of paper

Contributions falling into the following categories will be considered for publication: Original research papers, reviews, short communications, perspectives.

Peer Review

This journal operates a single blind peer review process. All contributions will be initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then typically sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles. The Editor's decision is final. Editors are not involved in decisions about papers that they have written themselves or have been written by family members or colleagues or which relate to products or services in which the editor has a conflict of interest. Any such submission is subject to the journal's usual procedures, with peer review handled independently of the relevant editor and their research groups. More information on types of peer review

All submitted manuscripts will be first sent to the Editor-in-chief, who will check for plagiarism and does basic screening and appoint an Associate Editor having expertise relevant to the manuscript's topic.

The appointed Associate Editor will assess the scientific merit of the manuscript and if the manuscript successfully passes this preliminary assessment, the Associate Editor will send it to at least 2 reviewers, who are experts in the relevant field.

After at least 2 reviewers give their reviews and comments, Associate Editor will recommend a decision to Editor-in-chief whether to accept or reject or give major/minor revision based on reviewer's comments.

The Editor-in-chief will make a decision based on reviewer's comments and Associate Editor's recommendation.

When author submits the revised manuscript, Editor-in-chief will make the final decision.

For submissions from Editor-in-chief, Associate Editors, Guest Editors, other journal board members, and authors who have conflicts of interest with them, we ensure that the paper is handled confidentially by a different journal editor with no conflict of interest. The journal editor who charges this manuscript will make a final decision.

For submissions to special issues, guest editors will invite reviewers and Editor-in-chief will make final decision. If there are conflicts of interest between the guest editors and authors, the submissions will be handled by journal editors from Editorial Board who have no conflict of interest with authors. The journal's usual peer review procedure will be followed.
