Chinese Journal of Acoustics is the publication of the Acoustical

Society of China and the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of

Sciences, to promote the international understanding and collaboration

in the field of acoustics. It publishes original works in all branches

of acoustics in China. Contributions from invited guests and friends

overseas are also solicited.

Contributed papers submitted for publication in the Journal should be

original, unpublished. For speedy publication of new and important

theoretical and experimental results,letters are preferred. Review

papers are accepted only by invitation. Translations of the Chinese Acta

Acustica articles are prearranged with the author.

One copy of the manuscript (the original copy and electronically in MS

word format by e-mail) in completed final version are required. The text

should be written in English only.

Every paper must have an abstract of not more than 200 words. Concise

and informative abstract is important to make possible its use verbatim

in Science Abstracts. There are keywords.

Drawings are preferable to be made on plain white paper or tracing

paper of A6 size (105×148 mm), in India (China) ink for the original,

but sharp glossy prints are acceptable.

Words

and symbols in illustrations may be clearly written with a pencil.

Photographic figure must be supplied as glossy black and white prints.

Xerox and similar reproductions can be used for second and third copies

only. A caption (legend) must accompany each illustration and be clearly

typed in the manuscript.

References should be numbered consecutively to avoid confusion. They

should include author name, title of paper, title of Journal, Volume

number (Year) and page numbers,in that order. All references must be

typewritten double–spaced on a separate sheet of paper attached at the

end of the manuscript.

Each table and each figure should have a caption, which will be

intelligible to the reader without consulting the text. Tables and

figures must be referred to in the text in consecutive numerical order.

The first author will be notified of the result of peer review and

thirty off–prints will be sent to the author(s) gratis, if the paper is

accepted. Otherwise the manuscript will be returned to the author(s).

Give your full name, academic or professional affiliation and the

complete address of the author, to whom proof and correspondence are to

be sent.

Take good care that the manuscript is typographically accurate. A

limited number of corrections in the proof is unavoidable, manuscripts

with too many errors will be returned to the author. Read the proofs

carefully as soon as possible and return them immediately to avoid delay

in publication.
