The

CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems (JPES) is an international

quarterly journal published by the Chinese Society for Electrical

Engineering (CSEE) in collaboration with CEPRI (China Electric Power

Research Institute) and IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and

Electronics Engineers), Inc. The articles published in this journal will

focus on advanced concepts, technologies, methodologies and practices

associated with all aspects concerning power and energy systems. It aims

to present the latest research achievements, which have significant

impacts on the advancement of knowledge in the fields.

Scope

1.POWER SYSTEMS WITH HIGH PENETRATION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY

Topology and evolution of power networks with high proportion of renewable energy

Articles can be presented in the format of the following:

Original research papers

Review

articles, which summarize the most up-to-date achievements on a

particular topic, and provide foresight concerning future trends

Rapid communications: reporting the latest findings or advances which are deemed to be of significant importance.

Peer Review at CSEE JPES

Please

read carefully on the Peer Review Policy of CSEE JPES, only the

manuscripts meet the standard will be sent to deep review process. For

the review:

This journal follows a single-blind reviewing procedure.

About 40% papers will be unsubmitted during preliminary examination;

At

least three outside referees are consulted, and the review opinions and

comments will be asked to submit in 30 days, the whole round will be

end between 60-80 days in general;

Major

revision time-limit: 30 days; minor revision time-limit: 15 days,

extension can be made through contacting the editorial office;

You will get the final decision from Editor-in-Chief once the final result is given by the Editorial Board.

Paper Preparation

Basic

guidelines for preparing papers for the Chinese Society for Electrical

Engineering are provided in the Authors Kit. Information is given

regarding desktop publishing format, type sizes, and typefaces. Style

rules are provided that explain how to handle equations, units, figures,

tables, references, abbreviations, and acronyms. Sections are also

devoted to the preparation of acknowledgments, references, and authors

biographies. An example of the desired layout for papers is provided as a

Microsoft Word template.

Article Processing Charge

Articles

submitted on or after January 1, 2026, will be required to pay an

Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance. Authors from China: CHY

800 per page; Authors outside China: CHY 800 or USD 120 per page (the

number of pages is calculated based on the final PDF version).

Submission Information

Before

submitting your paper, please read the Ethical Responsibilities of

Authors in Ethics Statement and Copyright agreement carefully to make

sure that your manuscript meet every requirement in these two documents.

Please noticed that CSEE JPES would withdraw the papers that fail any

requirements in these two documents.

Upon Acceptance

Most

papers are published online 4 to 8 weeks after acceptance. In addition,

CSEE JPES selects papers for early access in First Release, using the

accepted version of the paper with minimal copyediting. The official

publication date of these papers is the date of First Release

publication. Requests for accelerated online publication should be

explained to the editors in the cover letter.

There

is no need to submit any additional files in ScholarOne system after

acceptance, our publication editor will contact the author for the

following files before official publication, please send all the files

directly to the editor.

Latex or Microsoft Word source file of the paper

PDF file of the paper

Separate graphics files in Word, eps, ps, ti, ppt or Excel format if the graphics are not embedded in the source file

Biosketches and colored photos of all authors.

Open Access

In

this publication, all articles will be published as Open Access (OA).

OA publications are freely available online to anyone,which maximizes

the visibility, the uptake and use of the work published. All accepted

articles will be indexed by IEEE Xplore.

Energy Systems is free for sharing, download and distribution for

Guidelines for Generative AI Usage

The use and disclosure of content generated by artificial intelligence (AI) must comply with the following regulations:

Disclosure of AI-Generated Content:

For

articles submitted to our Journal, the use of AI-generated content

(such as text, figures, images, code, etc.) must be disclosed in the

acknowledgments section. The AI system used must be clearly identified,

and the specific sections of the article that utilize AI-generated

content must be indicated, along with a brief explanation of the extent

of AI involvement. Common uses of AI, such as editing and grammar

enhancement, are not subject to mandatory disclosure but are still

recommended to be mentioned.
